Thank you for having chosen one of our high-quality torque meters. Please read the operation manual thoroughly
before using this instrument for the first time. The information contained herein will help you to achieve accurate
and reproducible results and avoid misuse or damages.
1.0 Safety precautions
The torque meter can be damaged if it is overloaded. Mind the maximum measuring range and do
not apply side or radial forces. Do not use any tools to screw the test item onto the measurement
board.
Do not use the meter to measure items or products that contain liquids. Though the meter is
moisture proof, spilling liquids could irreparably damage the instrument or adulterate measurement
results.
Mind the environmental conditions that apply to the instrument. The instrument is equipped with a
temperature compensation for 0...40°C. Use the instrument in this temperature range only.
2.0 Before taking into operation (Charging batteries)
Please fully charge the NiMH batteries before using the instrument for the first time. To do so, use no other net-
charger than the net-charger included in the scope of delivery (Part no.: FMI-945). During the charging process
„BAT“ is shown on the display; the token disappears when the batteries are fully charged.
